I always loves quotes like these from people who have absolutely no clue what actually goes on behind the scenes, it reminds me a lot of the Toews' intangibles argument whereas there isn't an solid information to support your opinion so just throw out a statement that has no way of being valued or authenticated. This is not a knock against Botterill because like RW I have no clue what actually happens in the FO and who actually does what.

botterill does alot. gm jr has said it many times. botterill is a assistant gm for a reason other wise he would be associate gm like the others

Not at all. I mock people who act like they have a clue while openly admitting that I do not, I actually mock people who have to make intangible statements to backup their opinions and then act like the intangible statement is fact.

I never said he doesn't. I'm actually sure that he does do a lot, I just pointed out that like the rest of us RW has no clue what he actually does or if he's replaceable from within the organization.

You guys know... there are other teams in the NHL, with assistant GMs... as well as ex GMs out there.

Its not a lock that its one of our guys getting picked.

Interesting notion - I'd think that a package centering around Duchesne would potentially be the best outcome should the Pens wish to finally put all those "Malkin on the block" rumors to rest. Not that I think they do or should, mind you...

Nah. Tampa went to the SCF last year and the ECF this year (1 game away from back to back SCF appearances). Panthers missed it last year and were bounced in the first round by a worse team. I'll say TB is better than FLA until they prove otherwise

Bolts were injury riddled. If not for that they probably would of won the division. They are a class of the east. Panthers are headed towards that status no doubt.
